Case Study: Domestic residential redecoration
Client: Domestic Customer
Sector: Private/domestic dwelling
This lovely little residential flat, located near the centre of Birmingham, had been crying out for a make over from a professional painter and decorator. We had just one week to strip the walls, prep the surfaces and get it painted and decorated. No problem!

Ready to redecorate?
Whilst a touch of paint can make your home more appealing, and in turn more valuable, it can also change the mood and feel of a home. Eradicate stress and anxiety with fresh decor and breathe new life in to your home and yourself.
We used Johnstone’s paints to create a neutral, calming feel in this residential flat in Birmingham ready for the new tenants. First we use Johnstone’s Primer Undercoat to prime all surfaces for painting. For the walls we then use Johnstone’s Durable Matt, Johnstone’s Cover Plus Vinyl Matt for the ceilings and Johnstones oil based eggshell for woods.
Simply changing the colour of the walls is an easy and inexpensive way to give a fresh look. Be sure to choose colours carefully inline with the mood you are trying to achieve.
What colour will you choose?
Top colour tip:
Brighter paint colours will make your rooms feel larger and more spacious. White or lighter shades of grey or cream can work very well, you can always add touches of colour with your furniture and wall decor. And don’t forget to paint the ceiling white so the room feels higher.
